Call today, don’t delay!

Hey, ICM, we need to call our Members of Congress and urge them to use our government’s role to do what the Preamble to the US Constitution says to “promote the common welfare” by passing S1, HR4 and HR 51 to help us all Thrive. These bills ensure equitable distribution of the Internet, voting rights, healthy people and planet, and justice for all.

Indivisible USA has asked us to use this messaging. Please call Sen. Wyden 202-224-5244

Sen. Merkley: 202-224-3753 and Rep. Bonamici 202-225-0855.

Let’s get ‘er done!

Hey, ICM. Ready to do more postcards?

ICM, are you ready for another postcard effort? This one is with Swing Left to ensure passage of HR. 1/S 1. We will be both doing postcards and calls to voters in AZ for them to call/email Sen. Sinema to urge her to support voting rights. This may also mean making sure that the filibuster does not stop passing S1/voting rights. The text is already printed on the postcards and all volunteers have to do is write 1-2 scripted sentences. The postcards also have address labels. It will take less than 2 minutes to complete each postcard.

Email Michelle Inness at mhughes56@comcast.net to get signed up.
We will need donations of money and stamps.

Join Saturday phone banks to voters to fight voter suppression bills in their states!

Phone bank to protect voting rights · Mobilize
Join us every Saturday from 2:00 to 4 pm PST to call voters of color in key districts, connecting them directly to their state senators to oppose new voter suppression bills. We will be using Call Hub, a new user-friendly dialer that allows the volunteer to patch the voter directly to their state senator’s phone number in real-time. We will help you set up a CallHub account, walk you through the process of making the calls, and answer your questions. (41 kB)

Green New Deal forum on March 13th at 4 pm

ICM come and participate!

Sunrise Beaverton partnered with WashCo Young Dems and 350pdx – Washington County Team for this Green New Deal Public Forum on March 13th at 4 pm.
The Green New Deal often gets dismissed as a ‘pie in the sky’ national bill and the right wing / fossil fuel interest work overtime to spread misinformation about the GND. We’re going to dive into what the GND would mean for us at the local level, what initiatives we currently have that fit within the GND framework, and also have the opportunity to engage with a slate of elected officials from various Cities, Washington County, & Metro government on what work is happening now to address the climate crisis. We will be announcing the elected officials in the coming days!
Please join us and our partners for this event next weekend.
